Happy New Year everyone!
I am almost always working at the end of the year, not only in 2023, but almost always at the end of the year as well, but finally on New Year's Day, as I was falling asleep...I was happy to see that even though it is the New Year, nothing has changed and I am welcoming a peaceful New Year, which is the first time this year.
Then there was the earthquake, which was not an ordinary occurrence. The accident at Haneda Airport, and the feeling of nothingness, of everyday life being torn apart, of gratitude.
This New Year's, I will probably go back to my relatives in Hokuriku. I felt guilty for complaining that my New Year's day has been so normal, compared to the sudden disaster that struck someone who was already planning to have a lot of fun with his family coming back. Well, I spent some time there. I will never forget the year 2024, which started like that.
I will probably never forget it, and I think that the people in my hometown will think that it was just a normal thing.
No, I didn't expect 2024 to start like this.
Above all, to those who are under the influence of the earthquake and those who are suffering from the disaster, please accept my deepest sympathy. My deepest sympathies go out to those who have been affected by the earthquake.
I pray for the safety of those who are within the area of the earthquake, and I hope that you are safe.
Always put your own safety or the safety of your relatives and friends first.
I believe that some of you, among various other people, may want to take a break and look into the guitar hobby cluster to escape from reality at a time like this.
The situation is still not very good, and in the case of the accident at Haneda, the people involved have a mixture of good intentions, a sense of professional responsibility, and various other emotions, and it is a situation that is hard to look at.
As for JAL's ground troops, I am really bowled over by the fact that they have done such an amazing job, as one of my old departments was involved when I was a salaried employee.
I don't have the ability to provide real (what's real?) information, no matter how I try. I don't have the ability to transmit real (what's real?) information, and all I can do is solemnly work on the trade and repair guitars and effectors. I'm thankful to be able to spend my days like that, and I'm looking forward to a new New Year.
(By the way, this third guitar, which I acquired through a certain chance, survived the disaster in Tohoku. ) This reminds me of that, and this is one of my commandments.
I am a little relieved to confirm that my repairman friend in Toyama is safe and sound.
I have heard that a colleague of mine from my old days as a manufacturer has returned to Toyama, but I don't know how he is doing because I don't have his contact information.
I hope he is safe and sound, although he has several business partners and delivery sites in Ishikawa Prefecture that have been disconnected since he left the office.
I am sure that each of you will be able to move forward strongly and somehow, and I will continue to think about how I can be of some help in this regard this year.
Please feel free to contact us by DM, SNS, or E-MAIL (
info-form@i-r-p.net) for any in Happy New Year everyone!
